Paddington (PG)

  • 2014-12-21 11:30:00

Paddington bear has long had a passion for everything British, despite living deep in the depths of the Peruvian jungle with his Aunt Lucy. When their home is suddenly wiped out by a devastating earthquake, Paddington's Aunt decides to ship him off to London – somewhere an English explorer she once met had always recommended as a place of opportunity.

When Paddington finally arrives at a London train station, lost and alone, with only a briefcase and a label round his neck which reads 'Please look after this bear. Thank you', he begins to wonder if England is such a great place after all.

The loveable bear's luck soon changes, when he is taken in by the Brown family, who promise him a temporary home. Before long, they begin to realise living with a bear doesn't come without its problems, and trouble and chaos ensues.

Paddington decides to seek out the British explorer who his dear Aunt was so fond of, but first he must contend with an evil taxidermist who has sinister plans for Paddington's future.

Paddington is a live-action adaption of the much loved Michael Bond book, and is produced by the same team behind Harry Potter. Adults who grew up with the character will love this modern take on the classic book, and Paddington is bound to win over a new generation of young fans.

The picture features the acting talents of Nicole Kidman, Julie Walters Peter Capaldi, Sally Hawkins and Matt Lucas.
