In this Valentine-themed workshop you'll learn how to make these beautiful felt hearts!

These lovely felt decorations are made with the wet-felt method using soft merino wool fibres. In the process you will use a 'resist' that forms the 3D two-layered heart structure. They are then stuffed with toy stuffing (you can add lavender at this stage if you have any), and the slit in the back is carefully sewn together. A ribbon loop can be added if you want to hang your hearts

You'll be able to make up to 5 hearts on the day and all materials for this will be provided, but if you have any fine silks/polyester fabrics (old scarves are ideal!) or decorative threads and lace that you would like to use, then bring them along and Emma will show you how to incorporate them into your handmade felt hearts

Please bring along a packed lunch, a large towel and a pair of sharp scissors
