A brilliant workshop that will give you a life skill and save you pounds over the coming years by teaching you the skills to make your own roman blinds!
Michelle will guide you through the measuring; the marking out and cutting of your fabric using clear notes throughout. If this is your first attempt we suggest choosing a smaller window for your first blind (the bigger the blind, the more time consuming the slip stitching is)
You will be shown how to create rod pockets and slip stitch lining to fabric; sew top and bottom hems; attach rings and thread
Please bring a usable sewing machine, a packed lunch and your fabric - if you require help with measuring before purchasing please give us a call - we are here to help
All the necessary sundries you require are available from The Workshop but if you prefer to bring your own please feel free. Apart from your fabric you need: matching thread, lining, top & bottom battens, plastic rings, screw rings, cord, rods and velcro. At the end of the day you'll receive a full set of instructions that will allow you to make these blinds again perfectly, time after time!
