Have you ever wanted to learn to crochet, or refresh what your granny taught you all those years ago? Or take your basic skills that bit further?

Well, this workshop will either introduce or refresh your memory of the basic crochet stitches, including chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, half treble, treble crochet and double treble crochet

For those who have been before and have already got to grips with the basic stitches, you will be shown how to work in the round and combine the stitches learned to make both granny rounds and granny squares. This is a very versatile project and drinks coaster, scarves, bags, door stops, cushion, blankets etc. can be made from these two simple patterns

Obviously what you produce on the day will depend on how well you learn the stitches, and how fast you crochet

For beginners- bring your own wool (chunky knitting type), in your own colour combinations and a 6mm crochet hook. For those doing granny rounds and squares bring double knit wool (or cotton) in colours of your choice and a 4mm crochet hook
