So soft furnishings! This is a very open workshop for people to come along and do a project of their own choice - roman blinds, a piped cushion or box cushion, curtains etc.

Before the day itself Michelle, our expert seamstress, will call you for a consultation to make sure you have everything you need for the day and to answer any questions you may have. The skills learnt will be dependent on what subject matter/project you decide to do on the day

• Roman Blinds - measuring, marking out and cutting, create rod pockets and slip stitch lining to fabric; sew top and bottom hems; attach rings and thread
• Piped cushion/box cushion - cutting out to a pattern, making bias binding, making piping, inserting a zip and constructing the cushion
• Curtains - working out fabric quantities, cutting accurately, construction, pattern matching, hand sewing and machine sewing

With every project you'll get top tips in making your work have that professional finish! Whatever you'd like to tackle, Michelle will make your project achievable and enjoyable!
