Be the envy of your friends with this beautiful handmade nuno felt scarf!
Nuno is the Japanese technique of bonding fibres to fine fabrics such as cottons, silk pongee or silk chiffon. As the wool shrinks during the fulling (felting) process sumptuous textures and ruffles are created
You will use the wet felting Nuno method and soft merino wool fibres, curly wendsleydale fibres, silks, slubbs, burrs, knepps and sparkly angelina to make your own wearable piece of art
All materials provided, but if you have any lace, decorative threads or fibres you would like to incorporate bring them along too. An ivory silk scarf will be provided to work on. If you prefer you can bring a pre-dyed or printed silk scarf (available in many high street shops). If you dye your own silk fabrics you can pick up your base silk scarf a week before, dye it, then bring it back ready to work on
As usual, just bring an old towel, a small sharp pair of scissors, and your lunch
