In this new workshop you will use both wet felting and needle felting techniques to make two types of beads; balls and sushi roll beads
The sushi roll beads use the wet felting method, combining fine layers of coloured merino fibres, which are rolled up tightly and wet felted until firm. Once dried these can be cut in various slices and used in your own jewellery projects. The ball beads start by being needle felted, where decoration can be added using the merino fibres, or other fibres and threads. Wet felting then firms them up - again you will be able to make a selection of sizes, shapes, plains and patterns which you will be able to use to make necklaces, bracelets, ear-rings etc
All the materials and equipment will be provided on the day, but if you have any threads you would like to incorporate then bring them along with you, also please bring an old towel and a sharp pair of scissors with you
Teas and coffees will be provided throughout the day but you will need to bring a packed lunch with you
