Jo Purdy presents: Autumn Fun with Flowers

This seasonal course starting in September will offer participants an opportunity to have 'Autumn Fun with Flowers'! You will learn new skills and gain confidence, enabling you to create beautiful arrangements for the home for all occasions

Over the 6 weeks you will learn the following skills:

• How to choose and look after flowers and prepare them for arranging
• How to use foliage from the garden and hedgerows
• How to use different containers to create different style of arrangement including modern, traditional and vintage

The emphasis will be on using flowers that are easily obtained from the supermarkets and gardens where ever possible keeping the costs down for all participants. You will be able to buy oasis and other accessories at cost price if they are needed for arrangements

Each week you will build on your knowledge and skills, shown each step of the way by our floral expert, Jo

• The first session will be an arranging challenge. . . .participants bring a vase/container and a selection of supermarket flowers and foliage
• Autumn/Rustic arrangement in a plant pot
• Autumn Presentation Basket
• An Autumn ring arrangement
• A Continental Arrangement
• A hand tied arrangement in a hedgerow frame
