Adonis Creed has spent his entire life resenting his father, Apollo. Apollo was a boxer who died in the ring and Adonis has never quite come to terms with this.
Now all grown up and a boxer himself, Adonis is trying to channel all his energy into the sport and eclipse his father’s success. He is self-taught, but has a few bad habits that he needs to iron out, as well as plenty of demons that he’s still trying to do battle with.
To overcome all his issues, he seeks out the one man who can help him: Rocky Balboa, who was Apollo’s greatest opponent and friend many years ago.The two go back to basics in training and try to build Adonis up to be the best fighter he can be.
