Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Young and old alike are invited to join the Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit for the Mad Hatter's Tea Party at YHA Whitby Abbey House. Based in the hostel's award winning Physic Garden, visitors will be able to join in crazy lawn croquet, face painting and follow the Rabbit Paws Trail. Volunteer gardeners will be happy to show off the gold medal winning Yorkshire in Bloom garden.

Visitors will also be able to tour the Grade 1 listed  hostel, parts of which  date back to the 12^th century with many original features including a carved 13^th C beam, wattle and daub and 18^th C hand printed wallpaper. Children will be able to become history detectives discovering the secrets of the house.

Abbey House Tea rooms will be open for hot and cold drinks, ice cream and delicious homemade cakes and scones.
