William Tillyer, one of Britain's most respected artists, marks his 75th birthday with a series of solo exhibitions at venues throughout the UK this autumn.

The launch show, Haven, is timed to coincide with his 75th birthday and for this he has selected a very special venue, the small rural Inspired by…Gallery, high on the North York Moors where he lives and works.

Haven will feature a series of vibrant bold watercolour drawings, which reveal Tillyer's love of the landscape whilst also addressing the themes of structure and geometry. These paintings offer a refreshingly different perspective on the North York Moors National Park, an area which is part of Tillyer's everyday life.
