Overall anyone visiting Whitby really needs to give the museum some time, especially as it is based in a beautiful park away from the mainstream crowds. 5 stars

  • There's an awful lot to See.

There’s an awful lot of see, it has a very varied and wide selection of exhibits...more subject areas than you can shake a stick at.

  • An excellent guide to the history and people of Whitby

plenty of old photographs showing Whitby before it became a holiday destination. It took us over two hours to go round and we could easily spent longer.

  • Honeymoon museum trip.

We visited after seeing the Weather machine powered by leeches on a recent episode of QI...The staff are very friendly and you get a lot for a small entry fee.
