In this intriguing new workshop you'll learn some of the many ways in which detail and pattern can be addded or 3D items made, all by using soft merino wool fibres and a very sharp barbed needle!

Together we will wet felt a flat piece of felt onto which we can needle felt a picture or pattern. Next we will learn how to needle felt balls, which can be used to make jewellery or garlands and decorations. We will also have time to make a little felted item - such as a little bird!

All wool fibres/materials are provided, but if you have an old shrunken wool jumper, soft cushion cover, or old scarf (wool, cotton or fleece) bring them along and we can felt a design onto them too!

Once you've learned the techniques you'll be amazed at what you can achieve, using this skill on a variety of different home objects!

You will need a small towel, a small pair of sharp scissors and your packed lunch
