Applique is decorative work in which one piece of cloth is sewn or fixed onto another, or the activity of decorating cloth in this way
In this great new workshop you will learn from Michelle two ways to applique - machine sewing using bond-a-web, and hand sewing or the 'turned on' technique, known as 'needle tuirning'. Armed with these skills you'll be shown how to decorate your projects and personalise them, for example, for Christmas etc.
During the workshop you will decorate a piece of fabric which you could then make into a bag, a cushion or whatever else takes your fancy! The price includes a fat quarter of calico. You will need to bring your own sewing machine (if you have one) plus threads and scraps of fabric and any possible design ideas in advance would be useful
