In the midst of World War II, British mathematician and logician Alan Turing is battling against the clock to crack the German Enigma code.

Located in a top secret office, known as the Government Code and Cypher School hidden in Bletchley Park, Turing and his team of code crackers, made up of linguists, scholars and chess fanatics are tasked with breaking the Enigma code, devised by a German engineer during the fiercest and darkest times of World War II.

This thrilling drama documents the life and work of this British mathematician, whose expert knowledge, genius and diligent efforts went a long way to significantly reduce the length of the war and save thousands of lives the world over.

Based on Andrew Hodges' biography Alan Turing: The Enigma, this biographical drama stars Benedict Cumberbatch (The Fifth Estate, Sherlock) as the British computing pioneer, Alan Turing alongside Keira Knightley (Begin Again, Anna Karenina) as Joan Clarke.
