Exodus: Gods and Kings is a biblical epic film that focuses on the well-known story of Moses freeing the Hebrew slaves - all 600,000 of them - from the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses II. Follow the prophet's exciting and dangerous escape from Egyptian lands and a terrifying series of plagues, culminating with the famous confrontation between the two, in the centre of the parted seas.
The film is the latest in a long line of titles directed by Sir Ridley Scott, whose other notable works include: Alien, Gladiator and Prometheus. Christian Bale takes the lead role as the prophet Moses himself, having played such famous characters as Batman / Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan's recent trilogy, as well as roles in The Prestige and American Hustle.
Bale is supported by a host of other famous names including Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley and Joel Edgerton, with the latter playing the antagonist and constant thorn in Moses' side, Ramses II.
This film contains a sequence of flashing lights which might affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
