Since being formed in the garage of a modest Californian home in the suburbs back in 1976, Apple has gone onto become one of the worlds biggest and most iconic brands. Its’ founder, Steve Jobs, went from humble beginnings to being one of the most respected entrepreneurs, inventors and marketers of the last three decades.
Steve Jobs is based on the biographical book of the same name and depicts three landmark periods in the businessman’s illustrious career; 1984 for the Macintosh launch, 1988 for the unveiling of NeXT and 1998 for the iMac launch.
The picture is directed by multi-award winning Danny Boyle; one of eight directors to win the Golden Globe, Director’s Guild, BAFTA and Oscar for the same movie, Slumdog Millionaire (2008), as well as being responsible for films as diverse as Trainspotting (1996) and 127 Hours (2010).
Jobs is portrayed by acclaimed actor Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 12 Years a Slave) and Oscar winner Kate Winslet (Insurgent, Titanic) plays Mac team member Joanna Hoffman. Seth Rogen (Neighbours, 22 Jump Street) takes on the role of Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak and Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber To) plays former Apple CEO John Sculley.
