As another birthday rolls by, Emily (Diane Keaton) still harbours bitter feelings towards her adulterous, now deceased husband, trying in vain to comes to terms with her lot in life. And then she stumbles upon an unkempt man living wild in Hampstead Heath.

Initially startled, she quickly becomes intrigued by the mans free-spirited existence, drawn to his stubborn ways and no-nonsense send of humour. When she learns that developers plan to kick him out to make way for a building project, Emily sets about helping him fight back against the authorities.

As the two fall in love, others rush to their cause, and the court case and resulting press circus put pressure on an already awkward situation.


Director Joel Hopkins is no stranger to directing established Hollywood names in romantic comedy roles, having written and producted The Love Punch (2013) and Last Chance Harvey (2008).

Hampstead stars Academy Award Winner, Diane Keaton, who has appeared in many iconic films, including The Godfather Trilogy (1972-1990) and Annie Hall (1977).

Co-star Brendan Gleeson has also earned his acting stripes, with appearances in Braveheart (1995), Gangs of New York (2002) and more recently Paddington 2 (2017) on his impressive resume.
